HORSES

I'm certified with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) as a Therapeutic Riding Instructor and through CHA as a Level 2 English/Jumping instructor. I currently teach lessons with GallopNYC. Before that, I was the Program Director of Hoofbeat Ridge Camps in Mazomanie, Wisconsin.

I enjoy working on training techniques with the GallopNYC horses, and have completed Levels 1 and 2 of trainer Chris Irwin’s “Train the Trainer” course. I also volunteer with the NYC Parks Department Mounted Auxiliary, where I ride on mounted patrols with the Park Enforcement Patrol.

Danny Bartels made this video of me working with Foxy on join-up (encouraging her to connect with me and at the end, follow me)

Another video by Danny Bartels, this time of me playing with Molly.

Sometimes I ride in the snow.

The YouTube channel "That's The Spirit!" (for fans of the Dreamworks Netflix show "Spirit Riding Free") shot an episode on therapeutic riding that features GallopNYC and therapeutic riding. (I play myself!)

Another IHSA show. For these shows, you draw the name of a random horse to compete on. Since my background is riding lesson horses and camp horses and quickly figuring out their quirks, I loved that part.
